Catherine joined St Teresa’s in 2015 as the Head of Mathematics for the Prep School and soon took on the role of Director of Studies. Throughout her studies, she further developed her passion for education through volunteer work teaching in many different locations including local schools across a broad age range, and in both a secondary and primary school in Malawi.
A calling to teach was first kindled when she herself was in Year 6 and continued to develop in Catherine through Year Leader positions in various large primary schools in Bookham and Sutton. Catherine enjoys engaging with students, fostering a love of learning and developing the curriculum at St Teresa’s to engage and challenge young minds. With a particular passion for problem solving, she thrives on developing creative strategies for learning and supporting the development of confidence to tackle whatever situations present themselves be they academic or otherwise.
Outside of school, Catherine is kept busy by an energetic young daughter and enjoys exploring new cultures, getting lost in a book or creating culinary delights.
