A-Level Results 2025

A truly remarkable year group achieves outstanding results

The class of 25 did themselves, their teachers and their parents proud when results were released and university places confirmed. We are delighted to announce that 52% of the year group secured A*/A and 98% achieved their university place. Moreover, a hugely impressive 56% will be taking up places at Russell Group universities. There are many, many extraordinary success stories to celebrate including Amelia SM who achieved A*A*A*A* and is looking forward to taking up her place at Durham. Two of our students will be embarking on a degree in Medicine: Chloe H whose A*A*A is her passport to St George’s and Charlie J whose clutch of As will take her to Queen’s Belfast. In addition, Beth M – who secured A*A*AA – will take up a place to read Mechanical Engineering at Birmingham. Candice L is poised to pursue Mathematics and Data Science at LSE having achieved A*A*A*A and Andrea L’s A*AAA has confirmed her place to undertake Finance at King’s College London. We are especially thrilled that our A Level value added score places us in the top 15% of schools within the UK.

These statistics belie the story of a year group that has, throughout their school career, demonstrated commitment, resilience and an array of skills and talents. Indeed, the courses they are going on to pursue span the traditional and innovative and include disciplines ranging from Law, History, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Film Studies, Neuroscience, Fashion Studies, Liberal Arts, American Studies, English Literature and Dance. Reflecting on her results today, one very happy student noted, “My success was due to the smaller Sixth Form classes and the connection I had with my teachers.” Equally happy parents referenced the bespoke Careers support that has made all the difference to their daughter’s next step. Toby Clouston – Director of Sixth Form – distilled the thoughts and feelings of many which have marked out this very special day. “We are all so proud of these exceptional results: our students worked incredibly hard and have rightly been rewarded with life-changing A Level grades. They are poised to take up places at some of the most prestigious universities in the country and we wish them all the very best for the next stage of their academic journey.”
