Tremendous results
Yr 13 did themselves and staff proud today and are rightly celebrating a truly impressive set of results. 74% of all grades were A*-B; even more remarkable is the fact that 21% of grades overall were A*.
We are absolutely delighted with all of our students; the following examples offer a snapshot of what they have achieved: Kirsten S secured an astonishing 3 A*s with an additional A* in her EPQ, Aleisha A achieved A*AA, Emily E’s AAA was complemented by an A* in her EPQ and Neve S’s talent in Photography and Textiles has been rightly recognised by the A*A* results she picked up today.
Dr McShane observed when congratulating students, “These results are testament to an inimitable year group who deserve every success.” The results are also testament to the progress that pupils make at St Teresa’s: as one of our students noted when reflecting on her remarkable achievements today: “Choosing St Teresa’s for my A Levels was the best decision I have ever made.”
University success
We are absolutely delighted that 100% of our Year 13s secured their university choices which meant there was no need for clearing this year.
We are also immensely proud of the breadth of courses our students are pursuing: from more traditional courses such as Medicine and Law, to fascinating subjects such as Global Environmental Change and Sustainability, Nursing and Nutrition and Health, to Interior Architecture and Design, these degrees reflect the array of interests, skills and talents which mark out this truly memorable year group.
An impressive 53% of our students are going on to study at a Russell Group university; we are equally thrilled that others are heading off to exciting destinations such as Goldsmiths, Winchester, and Strathclyde.
