Viking Workshop

Year 4 were transported back in time to Anglo-Saxon Britain! With a day full of swords, axes, chainmail, spices, gold, and some very strange clothing, they were taught so many new and interesting facts about the Vikings! They battled against each other, using Old English and Latin commands, and they even had the chance to try on some battle armour. The girls also acted out Beowulf! A little scarier was then performing the Viking burial. Did you know, warriors were buried alongside their armour AND their horses!? It was a brilliant day, and Year 4 most certainly learnt lots of new things about the Vikings.
