GCSE Results 2026

We are delighted to celebrate another excellent set of GCSE results, reflecting the hard work, dedication and ambition of our pupils, supported by dedicated staff and families.

Key highlights include:

Grade 9s increased from 10% to 12%

Nearly a third of all grades awarded were Grade 8 or 9

Almost half of all grades awarded were Grade 7 or above

These strong outcomes are underpinned by exceptional Value Added performance, demonstrating that pupils are making significantly stronger progress than national expectations and achieving beyond predicted outcomes.

At the heart of our success is a commitment to unlocking every pupil’s potential through excellent teaching, personalised support and a deep understanding of each individual. Alongside academic achievement, our pupils benefit from outstanding pastoral care,
exceptional facilities and a wealth of opportunities that enable them to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

We congratulate all of our pupils on their achievements and wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey. We look forward to welcoming many of them into our co-ed Effingham Sixth Form in September, as they continue their
journey with us.
